I am on my third day of Lexapro. I'm only taking 5 mg a day to does lexapro fatigue go away out with and will increase in two weeks. My MD said if I needed to continue to take Lexapro 20mg and was experiencing fatigue he could add Welbutrin. My fatigue lasted about days. I do notice that it makes me tired, so my doctor reccommended taking it in the evening before bedtime. I sleep much better now. I also notice it makes me very hungry! I've been on it for 6 months. I started with 10 mg which made me totally wired - no sleep and barely ate for several days.

I didn't ramp up the dose slowly the way you ativan effects last how long I just started on 10 mg and am still there. It was rough the first week- both in terms of side effects and of course the depression and anxiety I am taking this stuff for in the first place.

I am doing MUCH better now. While I did notice some improvement after about a week and a half, it's only been in the 4th week that I've seen major improvement. The obsessive thoughts were first to go, followed by anxiety, followed by depression, followed by lorazepam for occasional anxiety sleep. Now that the depression is gone I have SO much more energy.

The fatigue that I had that first week-ish is gone, as are any other side effects. Just wondering why your psych. My doc had told me that we would start at 10 mg because most people for whom Lexapro works respond well to this dose- and that if it was only working "somewhat" after weeks, then he'd up it higher. Happy mumma to Mr. S 7 and Ms. But I agree that if I feel fine on a lower dose, I should stay there. I have an appointment with him soon need to check the calendar, actually!
