You quit — not cigarettes or booze or meth or "shedding after quitting propecia" or margarine. Maybe you had sexual side effects, or you were scared you would develop the dreaded side effects, or worse.

First a quick introduction. I am a fairly young guy, 23 years old. This summer I started trying to live a slightly healthier life, and the systemic inhibiton of DHT was not really compatible with this. I therefore decided to try to go on without finasteride. After about two months I started really feeling worried about loosing my hair again a feeling I do not really have while on finasteride as I feel I am using the most powerfull tool to fight hairloss , and in the ens I picked it up again even though I had not really noticed an accelerated loss of hair yet. Now my hair is definately worse than it was this summer - therefore I have decided to start laser treatment as well. However I am still concerned about the long-term side effects of finasteride, and would like to be able to manage my hairloss at the same time, if able to aggressively fight hairloss without it. I see propecia as a temporary treatment untill something better comes along.

Menu Forums Forums Quick Links. Apr 13, Messages: Hey everyone, I was not sure whether or not I had hair loss since july or what was causing it anyway, thinking it might be underweight. My hair line was receding but what worried me most of all is increased shedding all over the top and the feeling that it was becoming thinner. All of my mother's 5 brothers seem to be good NW2s at age 60, but my maternal grandfather was a NW5 by his early 50s. My father has 0 hair loss, my half-brother is a NW3 vertex but has a balding father that is pretty much identical to our maternal grandfather. Long story short - a history of hair loss in the family. I went to an IAHRS-certified hair loss surgeon in Belgium nearest one to the Netherlands and he looked at my scalp with an enhanced camera and showed me that, obviously, I had miniaturization on the hair line, and, as I suspected, hairs seemed to be becoming ever-so-slightly thinner all over the top not so much the crown and he said this would progress and explained the diminishing hair volume I perceived to have. By that point I had decided to try finasteride 1mg a day for a week, then 1mg EOD and minoxidil twice a day. I started mid february, both at the same time.

Anyway, have you all started quitting propecia after shedding hair shedding after quitting propecia since PFS? One thing I noticed is that my hair is rapidly falling out again. Obviously the majority of us started fin because we suffered hair loss which was assumed to too much DHT. There are a number of threads on this. Try doing a search for them. It seems to vary, some people stop losing finasteride 5 mg tablet, some start losing it again but more slowly, and some go back into full shedding mode. Losing hair without inhibiting DHT would be to expected. Your hair loss is continuing where it naturally left off. Shedding after quitting propecia have a sneaking suspicion that that our initial hair loss was being caused by some unknown, rogue, or random disease and then by putting propecia in our body activated PFS. Ok bryce keep up with the forum then.

Propecia is a continuous treatment, and generally, patients will have to take Propecia for 3 to 6 months before the full effects of the medication become apparent. The effects of Propecia take some time to develop.

Lose everything maintained fast or pick up where you left? Results 1 to 7 of 7. It seems kind of counter-intuitive to me from what I know about hair loss.

I want to know about people that have been on Propecia, stopped due to sides and quit what was the outcome. Brain fog, testosterone drop, increase cancer risk.
