Continuing when should medication had no effect on her outcome as the dosage was sooo low. I believe my stabilized mental health, active lifestyle and continued healthy diet throughout my pregnancy is what created such a beautiful and healthy baby girl. She's now 4 months old and I continue my medication stop taking and off while breastfeeding and she still shows no sign of being affected whatsoever.

I know everyone's story is different but I was in your position too and it always helped hearing other stories pf moms suffering from ADD while pregnant and choose to stay on their meds and had a successful outcome: I tried to decrease my meds during my first trimester and had horrible depression and anxiety. I finally went back to stimulants around 16 weeks and I'm 25 weeks now and I've been back on my pre-pregnancy Vyvanse 50mg and Adderall 10mg for a month and it's been great. I had extra ultrasounds of my daughter and everything has measured perfectly.
I don't have any guilt with taking meds because my brain needs it. Would you tell a diabetic to stop their insulin? A thyroid patient to stop is it wise to take klonopin and ambien meds?
Stimulants are in the same category as Tylenol yet Tylenol is routinely recommended to pregnant women by doctors. If you can't handle without being on your meds, get back on them. It's hard for me to stop taking adderall without my adderall but I was told to stop taking it getting pregnant it's not safe. It's like other Category C drugs-they don't know and the benefits to the mother might outweigh the risks to the unborn child. If anyone has told you that it's for sure unsafe then they've given you incorrect information. It's a personal decision and one that should be made between your psych and OB.
I can tell you that my depression has gone away and I'm no longer in trouble at work and I haven't forgotten the when should was getting pregnant like I was doing unmedicated, so for me, it was the best decision to make. Can't have a healthy baby without a healthy me. My pregnant wanted me to Evekeo for 2 months while I was at the end of my first trimester going into the 2nd.
It's a new medication that has the same drugs as adderall but a different composition. It doesn't work as well, but it didn't curb my appetite at all or cause dehydration or increase my heart rate or blood pressure which is why "before getting" psych wanted me on that early on while the baby was still developing since no pregnant wasn't working for me.
I had to stop it though bc it's a new drug and the insurance company thinks Evekeo and Adderall are the same thing and refused to cover it. Ok I took vyvance and pregnant throughout my first pregnancy with my son. I was in nursing school and honestly couldn't function without it. Yes it's a class c drug. He's two years old now. Just got my prescription today and am glad to be back to feeling taking adderall normal again.

I take aderol and Prozac as well stop Wellbutrin. I was told to stop Prozac and to talk to my psychiatrist about getting off aderol. During my first pregnancy, Does adderall and oxycodone have interaction stopped all my meds on the spot and it was awful.
I had severe anxiety and depression as well as postpartum depression. I take 60mg a day of aderol and mg of Wellbutrin XL and stopped Prozac, but I am trying not to take so much aderol. I am petrified that taking is tramadol considered a nsaid during my pregnancy will harm my baby!
Any thoughts or suggestions? I haven't taken it. My doctor specifically said that I cannot take this while pregnant. I'm 9 months pregnant and I feel so much better knowing that she's so healthy, that's most important. I just think it's not worth it. Pregnant is hard but it's so worth it when you are finished! Hey alexxe91, I just had a few high blood pressure readings and we discussed lowering or discontinuing my medication.
Wondering if you had to reduce your dose because of your blood pressure? Thank you for your reply. Right now the suggestion is to monitor at home and follow up with my OB on monday random urine has no protein and she decided against the 24 hour one. This was the on call doctor and not my regular OB so I will be sure to discuss it with her at my visit. The on call doctor just seemed pretty adamant that she believed the raise in blood pressure was due to taking a stimulant.
I have my doubts about this since it's been so closely monitored but just wondering every one else's experience. Many things factor into whether or not a baby is healthy. You took before getting pregnant doctors recommendation as most people would, however, that does not mean that other women who were advised that they could continue taking adderall, will have a less healthy baby then you do. If it caused any harm to a fetus it would either be listed category D or X. With my first pregnancy I had stopped right after finding out I was pregnant and the next two months were a living hell. After losing my job over my horrible concentration and decline in performance, my OB approached me at 12 weeks and recommended that I start my adderall again, but at a very low dose of 5mg a day, down from the 20mg I was on prior.
My daughter was born right on time weighing in at 9lbs 9 oz, and 21 inches long. She will be 3 in Want to try adderall and she has been in the 90th percentile for growth and has hit all of her milestones on time or earlier. So again, to reiterate my original point.
